Flare's Game of the Week #1

Engines of Creation

Engines of Creation is a physics-based game by weremsoft, a user who just joined Kongregate.

The goal of each level is simple - guide the "character" to the flag. Although a simple goal, the game itself is quite hard. To move the character, you must extend its "arms" and "legs" using the 1, 2, and 3 keys. Each key will bring out one of the arms. You many cases, you use the arms and legs to push off the ground and move foward. In some cases, you will have to climb up a wall or hang on to the ceiling. The 4, 5, and 6 keys will make a corresponding dot "sticky." This dot will now stick to walls. By alternating between stickied dots and using each arm and leg, it is possible to climb any wall or traverse any ceiling. The controls take a long time to get used to, so don't worry if you get stuck. You can still restart with the space bar.

PROS - A very original game. Unique gameplay along with interesting levels makes for a fun time.

CONS - Hard in general. Controls take a while to get used to, and because there are very few levels, you may still not be used to the controls by the time you finish.

Overall, I give Engines of Creation a 4/5.

I need something to write about... THis is only my second submission. I should at least make myself useful. Unless you can suggest something for me to do that isn't already taken by somebody.

No, I'm fine with it... This blog needs more review in it anyway!
